Patalganga CETP (PRIA)
AQUA has to face major engineering and operational issues to execute this challenging task that was comprising but not just limited to the following matters: -
- Plant was not functioning for more than 2 years.
- Critical component UPFLOW ANEROBIC SLUFGE BLANKET REACTOR [UASBR] was defunct thereby rendering entire CETP non-operational.
- Broken Aeration System, Sludge Accumulation in tanks,
- Administrative matters like non availability of vendors for consumables, spare parts and ancillary service providers.
- Engineering indiscipline of injecting non-conforming effluents into the designed treatment system; thereby disturbing the CETP with inflow not meeting the standards.
MPCB have given Directives to MIDC to make CETP fully operational that was non-operational for 3 year from 2015-2017. This CETP of Patalganga Rasayani Industrial Association [PRIA] was installed prior to 2014 and plant operations were stagnant since 2015. MIDC following the due tendering process had awarded the contract for repairs and maintenance of Common Effluent Treatment Plant of 15 MLD to AQUA . along with Operation & Maintenance.
AQUA has in 2019 made this CETP fully operational by removing all hurdles and now CETP is performing well to attain all standards as laid down by MPCB.
